People have been asking me who the 5th person was in this picture when we had only 4 speakers lined up (Karen Adams, Haley Stevens, Gretchen Whitmer & me.) The 5th person is my 12 year old (tall) daughter, Sadie. Why won’t she leave my side during this whole event?

Because she is afraid someone will attack, hurt, kidnap or kill her mother! She knows her good friend @GovWhitmer has great security, especially after having her life threatened in gross detail. But Sadie also knows there are people out there who would do her mom harm...

just because she’s running for office. I want you to take a step back and just think about this sad place we’ve arrived at: my child is fearful that her mother will be murdered because of politics. I am a real person, with a real family...

not the caricature of a scary monster who wants to come after YOUR family, no matter what the mailers landing in your mailbox or the commercials on TV say. So let’s dial down the rhetoric and stop threatening violent coups against people with whom we disagree.
