A child will do what it wants, something people realize when a child becomes a teenager.

The key to parenting is to align your child’s necessity to yours,

This way the child is not only doing what you want, but what it wants.

A child will rebel if he feels he can impose his will against his parent’s necessity.

Without reason, the child will view it as your will against their own. Don’t change actions, change their mind

Your child will naturally follow your rule because it is what he believes in.

Through proper education, a parent can direct the will of the child without creating resentment.

Teach a child more than what is right and what is wrong, but why its right and why its wrong.

Control occurs through allegiance to nature and necessity.

A child may not yet comprehend this nature, but their actions will still align to it.

A lot of this is done through your example, the rest through your explanation.

Properly raising your kids requires you to align your words with your actions, and your actions to your values.

Without this it is just the blind leading the blind.

Reverse engineer your words.

Write down the values that you would want your child to have, then form your actions around those. Your words will follow suit.

If you want to be a braver man, put yourself in more situations in which you are exposed and uncomfortable.

If you want to be an honest man, tell the truth despite the cost.

Live the values that you want your kids to have.

Great fathers are forged,
