There’s nothing new in an online story today about private security in Mpls. There’s no reason to believe they will be at/near MN polling places nor are they needed/wanted. All Minnesotans can expect to vote safely in person on Tues w/o interference & intimidation. I’m watching.
As a reminder, last wk my office won a settlement with a TN co that *claimed* it was recruiting security for elections in MN but wasn’t. They’re now banned from doing *any* security in MN around Nov 3 *and* all of next year. https://twitter.com/AGEllison/status/1319743532144484352
Minnesota and federal law are clear: it is strictly illegal to intimidate or interfere with voters. I want to make to make it crystal clear to anyone who is even *thinking* about intimidating voters that I will not hesitate to enforce the laws against it to the fullest extent.
