I see some folks are trying to rewrite history to make Starmer look good on #COVID19 so, some facts:
Sep 19: news that PM is worried about a 2nd wave and is looking at new restrictions and the phrase 'circuit break' is used.

2/ Rayner commenting for Labour does not mention a new lockdown or backing for a circuit break. Her quote below.
3/ Sept 21: SAGE recommends circuit breaker + Vallance and Whitty hold a live TV news briefing on the increase in the virus.
Starmer does say another lockdown is likely but does NOT suggest one or say that he wants one.

4/ Away from Labour's front bench, John McDonnell and other Socialist Campaign Group MPs ARE arguing for new lockdown measures. https://twitter.com/johnmcdonnellMP/status/1306887027330363393?s=20
5/ Oct 13: more than two weeks after the warnings from SAGE, Whitty and Vallance, media discussion about a circuit break and growing demand for one, Starmer finally says he backs a circuit break. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-54528807
6/ So please if you want to talk about Starmer asking for circuit break be factual. Yes, he did ask for one. BUT, that was over 2 weeks after John McDonnell and other Left MPs had asked for one and after SAGE recommend one and after intense media debate about the need for one.
7/ People should be honest on Starmer's #COVID19 track record. From day 1 (see the clip of his first interview as leader) he has backed the Tories overall strategy. He has offered no alternative plan. He has not asked for Hancock's sacking. These are facts https://twitter.com/D_Raval/status/1249271540212027392?s=20
