One son is in college in his bedroom, missing out on the social life that's endemic to being on campus. We're at risk of all our grown kids getting kicked off our insurance because Trump is suing to end Obamacare. Babies were born to friends who I'll maybe meet when they're 2.
And I'm blessed and highly favored. My husband and I are in good financial shape and we can afford to go through this and support our family. Meanwhile, a quarter of small businesses, especially those owned by people of color have closed. 12 million people are on unemployment,
and Trump and McConnell refuse to lift a finger to help them. In fact, they and their fellow Republicans let the extra $600 in unemployment assistance expire because people like @LindseyGrahamSC think unemployed people are lazy and greedy and must be shoved back onto the yoke.
The @GOP has a lot of nerve, talking about what would happen if an actual adult becomes president, and actually fought this virus with everything government can throw at it. Because of Trump, and Pence (who is the head of the coronavirus task force but hasn't been to meetings
in months) have refused to fight it at all. They have given up on fighting the virus and instead are leading their followers to actually EMBRACE covid, or ignore it, and go along like it's not happening at all. Meanwhile people are dying everywhere. Hospitals are running
out of beds. ICU's are filling up in the Dakotas (now the covid capital) and in Wisconsin and wel...l everywhere Trump takes his traveling coronavirus infection tour. He is spreading both lies and disease and THAT's his closing message: come with me if you want Herd immunity!
