TW - suicide.
88% of people under mh services who died by suicide in a year had been judged to be at low or no risk of suicide by their clinicians at the last contact before they died.
Reading this literature is surprising me at how ineffective risk assessments can be.

There is so much evidence and research showing that risk assessments have poor predictive value and that categorising risk is unhelpful in guiding a patient’s treatment/management. I wonder, what would the alternative be?
