Satoru Gojo and Sukuna, the two strongest individuals (a thread)
Gojo is the strongest Sorcerer we’ve seen in Jujutsu Kaisen and is known as the “ The Strongest. ” He carries this title with absolute confidence that no one comes near his strength. When asked who would win between Sukuna and him, he replied with: “ me. “
Sukuna, is known as the “ King of Curses “ and the reason he’s known as this is because he has no equal when it comes to his immense strength. Sukuna and Gojo actually have a lot in common, since they’re both titled as the strongest.
One thing I noticed is that both are called “ The Honored One. “ throughout heaven and earth i alone, am the honored one “ is what the Buddha said after taking 7 steps from his mother after he was born and pointing towards both heaven and earth.
I believe this quote shows how self centered both of them are and it’s just a compliment on how strong they actually are. Since they’re so strong they’re known to be self centered and somehow overconfident. Gojo for example wants to change the Jujutsu world as how he sees fit.
By doing this, Gojo is raising Jujutsu Sorcerers with the potential to rival, or surpass him at some point. He wants to create a world with strong sorcerers. Gojo considering that he might kill all of the higher ups, shows that he can do whatever he pleases if he wants to.
Sukuna and Gojo believe that if you’re the strongest you can do whatever you want. Sukuna is more extreme when it comes to this. He believes that if you’re the strongest you can do whatever you want and nobody should stand in your way.
Gojo’s way of living is extreme itself. He believes that whatever happens, at the end of the day you will always die alone, no matter how strong you are.
Gojo and Sukuna are both seen as the Strongest, but at the end of the day; Gojo uses his strength for the collective good and Sukuna only for himself. Gojo is more like Yuji’s grandfather when it comes to this
Sukuna believes he can do whatever he wants, no matter who it is, because a hierarchy where the strongest doesn’t rule is boring to him.
Sukuna and Gojo have awful personalities to the masses. It’s because they’re so strong and so misunderstood that it might look like this way. Sukuna makes everything a game and mocks his opponents, Gojo is just... Gojo. Not taking anyone serious.
I’ve said it multiple times, Gojo understands that killing all the higher ups won’t change the world, he needs strong allies and that’s why he is raising extraordinary young sorcerers.
Sukuna just doesn’t care. If you don’t meet his standards, you’re nothing, you simply don’t exist. He uses people as pawns and that’s why he wants Megumi alive.
Ultimately, these two are really similar but at the same time so different because they’re so strong.
I feel like we’ll see a fully resurrected Sukuna versus Gojo in the series at one point, but what do I know, lol.
