*sigh* Real talk, here. Some people on Twitter are very young. 17 going on 18, 20 going on 21. First thing they want to do is legally look at spicy images or throw alcohol down their gullets. Just saying, but that’s not the end-all-be-all of becoming an adult.
I’m 39 years old. My first experience with alcohol was accidental, and life-threatening. I found out I was allergic to it. Severely. I never wanted to drink because of how destructive it was to my friends and family. I left my family for six years because of alcohol.
Secondly, porn. I mean, yeah, it’s fun, but that’s really a small part of being an adult. You have responsibilities to yourself and others, learning how to keep yourself up by your own merit, learning how to solve your own problems, and learning how to be there for others.
If porn and alcohol are seriously the only things you look forward to when you become legal age, then you’re not doing it right. I think that society has a responsibility to itself to nurture a better culture. Sarcasm aside, I really feel that there’s a lot more to adulthood.
Just my 2¢. You can disagree with me if you want, but this is the way I see it.
