“Britain will also ‘not negotiate to remove ban’ on hormone-fed beef in post-Brexit trade deal”
Unless the US gives the UK a free gift, that means the UK maintains a share of the EU’s duty-free import quota for beef.
And it means negotiations with the US etc (not just US)

In two WTO legal disputes, the ban was found to be illegal.
The EU offered duty-free quotas in compensation for the illegal ban. The deal with the US said 45,000 tonnes.
How much of that will the UK take on? Will the US and UK agree easily?

The Canada-EU trade agreement (CETA) has now absorbed Canada’s duty-free quota. Hopefully that's rolled over for the UK before Jan 1. Either way, the UK’s share of the duty-free quota has to be negotiated with Canada
