Its highly irresponsible to just say this with impressionable young dudes lurking around so I'll try to extrapolate on how to travel without being a typical traveller bum loser.
First off, you can't just be travelling without a source of income just burning through your savings like a lot of Europeans do.

That's roach behavior and I'll never endorse that.

This tweet is abt blowing the money you make on cool shit not budget travelling.
Little background story. In 2014 I dropped out of a Classics PhD program after 2 mo, got fired from 1 job & left another without even letting my employer know all within 5 mo

Back then u could get Fracking jobs in West Texas within 3 days of arrival

Drug test n that's it
Service companies move u around. Mostly around locations within the Pemian Basin.

Midland/Odessa and their surrounding shitholes but also New Mexico, Colorado and Wyoming.

Work was shit 12 hour shifts 15 days straight and 5 days off. Pay was good, overtime great.
Did that for 5 months and fucked off to China on a tourist Visa with fat stacks (normal people standards not Twitter flex boy and Bitcoin nerd standards)
Why China?

It's the only place on earth where any white person can just arrive, get a job and make 3k a month after tax teaching English to kids

I mentioned the Tourist visa in the previous tweet bc that is key here

If u go to China on a work Visa, the skoo u work @ owns u
3 to 4 k a month, nice furnished apartment paid for, 1.5 k a year for flight allowance and paid vacations but it's a typical 9-5 and I that's not me

On a Tourist Visa however u can work at multiple schools part time earning about 50 dollars per class. (1.5 hours)
No taxes btw since u are working illegally but the schools need the teacher bc theyre literally prinying money.

The new Chinese consumer class wants their children to learn English and will save no expenses

I've "taught" kids as young as 3.
The authorities turn a blind eye and that's it.

So at 50 bux for one class. I was doing around 25 classes a week after a couple of months.

5 K a month no tax no nothing with housing provided and living expenses crazy low.
Mind u this is part time work so whenever I felt bored after say 2 months of work I would just leave and just hit up Boracay or Saigon

Since I had a long term tourist visa I could just come back after a month galavanting across the world & find a job within a couple days again
The app process for teaching jobs hilarious. U send them a 50 sec introduction clip on Wechat

If u look presentable they hire u. U don't really teach these 4 - 12 year old kids much, the Chinese assistants do

Ur job is 2 be the white face that parents will open their wallets 4
In any case,

I could have saved 4k a month easy while living well but didn't do so.

Went to the Himalaya foothills in Tibet, the Gobi desert, Mongolia, Hong Kong, Macau, Boracay, Saigon, Bali, Australia

Started venturing further into Cape Town and the Swahili Coast of Africa
Never did hostels. Not luxury hotels either but always something that has natural sunlight, a balcony, gym & good buffets

Always paid for chicks & bought cool dudes rounds of drinks

Tipped random poor people on the street who looked like good souls

Never behaved like a rat
Partied with the High society of 3rdworld countries & Chinese CCP kids who I've seen not once but consistently blow 30k a night

Dated the daughters of CCP officials who got more $ than God

Smashed a Colombian chick who if she was in America wud have been a Victoria Secret model
Now if I saved every cent I made, worked more than I needed to and lived frugally I could have scratched up like

120 k.

Not worth it for me. If u did finance n wanna get into IB then go ahead n work ur ass off

But if u work in a cubicle making 47k then it's smtg to consider
The End
Actually not the end because most dudes will not be interested in going this extreme

At the time I had nothing to lose & a shit degree with no marketable skills

I'm amazed @ all the 24 yr old dudes here who got life by the balls already. Wouldn't be right to givenm advice on $
But a good middle ground is working in the U.S, preferably for yourself and schedule 2 to 3 week long trips to other countries.

If u live in Florida or Texas for example pick a country that interests u & fly there multiple x a year
Colombia is fantastic. Some dudes would love Argentina for the European feel.

Black dudes tend to like the Dominican Republic.

Point is to not just go there as a tourist and stay in a hotel but to make long term contacts and cultural affinity there.

Like a second home.
