Remembrance Sunday falls in a week’s time. Any other year, this day would be marked by those in #Saddleworth by walking up to Pots & Pans for the annual service there, or by visiting one of many other ceremonies held across our villages.
Unfortunately we are not permitted to collectively gather as one next Sunday, however I’m sure many of us will make an effort to visit a local war memorial at a time when it is a bit quieter nearby or by paying our respects to the fallen in our own personal, private way.
It has been a great privilege for me to play my small part in helping @RBLSaddleworth this year, alongside Cllr @MJWoodvine. Many Poppy Appeal volunteers across our country are older and have been unable to participate as they would have...
...liked to and normally would have done due to the challenging circumstances this year. Hopefully, though, we’ll do them proud by raising a lot for the cause of supporting members, veterans and the families of the Armed Forces.
