One of K-pop bands i interviewed told me they were never given a permission to decide titles of their songs over the yrs. Yet, so many music ‘experts’ have been intertwining songs w members’ persona and projecting meanings and significance on them. I don’t even know what to think
And the fact that these personal interpretations are being taken as sophisticated narratives and reproduced over and over by media machine? Geez.
Where does this facade start and end?
That’s why i take all these artistic and music interpretations with a pinch of salt. Like do members really know the supposed meaning behind the background of their MV scene? Or is there any meaning at all? Some lyrics are so vague. How do fans establish a msg w such ambiguity?

this thread started bc a well-known band has never named their own songs, dozens of them. It's like asking a chef about a dish you just had and he's like oh i don't know the name of the dish (or even ingredients). If you still want to return to that restaurant... okay.
