hi!! I wrote this thread a few days ago replying to a tweet praising apex for its "good" representation. I am making it its own thread so it could be reached easier!

mirage: devs keep making jokes about his sexuality and dangles it in front of us. for example, "mirage is gay... for pork chops." mirage made a comment on his sexuality in the season 6 comics but it went nowhere beyond that. also they won't stop making that stupid pumpkin joke...
mirage pt 2: he is mixed with "20 different nationalities" but they don't elaborate beyond that, even though lifeline is also mixed and they p much specified her whole lineage. even though it is not confirmed that he is part black, they gave him a skin with locs.

bh part 2: there is no reference to bloodhound’s gender in the game so people who just play the game (aren’t involved with apex communities) have no idea that they are non-binary and they misgender them because of that
