I hate that Kings Road has become as meaningless and misunderstood s term as strong style

Especially when it's a booking philosophy not a kind of in ring wrestling https://twitter.com/ElHijoDelSimon/status/1322736915200790528
Strong Style is also mostly a marketing term and an artifact from the 70s and 80s when the New Japan dojo would take challenges from karate schools, and Inoki would have matches with kickboxers and judokas -- the idea of wrestling as the best martial srt
Basically strong style was a promotional tactic and the bedrock concept of Inokiism (which is hated by everyone who claims to be/love strong style lmao)
Meanwhile King's Road is just Baba's philosophy of no gimmick matches, all clean finishes, no submission finishes because they hurt the loser more than they boost the winner, emphasis on tag wrestling especially 6-mans which can be main events despite 0 stakes...
And of course in a tag match you can protect your stars by not having then take the fall, or make somebody by having them beat a star (Akiyama pinning Kawada for ex)
