Why is "open source designer" or "open source PM" such a rare thing relative to "open source developer"?

I have some ideas, but I'm curious to hear yours 🙃

One of my guesses which I didn't see in the replies was that PMs/UX designers require high context from the very start, whereas you can make a useful code contribution immediately (e.g. performance, security) without much context at all.
Another guess is open source is an escape from us PMs who they already have to deal with in their work day. 🤓 Maybe escaping PMs is the whole point! 😉
