NM Covid update. Positive tests keep going up along with testing. In October over 250,000 tests were taken. Over 10% of the population. Since March over 1.17 million tests, half the state. I'm sure that some have taken the test more than once, but that's still amazing.

Here's the tests per day since March. Don't let anyone tell you we're not testing enough. We're at 10,000 tests per day lately. I still wonder who all those people are getting tested. I'm not questioning the data, I'd just like to know.

Hospitalizations are way up. 311% up. How many from out of state? (Shhhh... we don't need to know). Surprisingly, overall bed and ICU capacity is stable, so far. A little under 80% for both, which is still in the normal range.
This is the number to watch going forward. 3/7
The 2 weeks from May 7-21 are the worst 2 weeks so far for deaths at 125. The last 2 weeks of Oct we had 95 deaths. The % of those hospitalized who die has thankfully gone down. But, I'm not sugarcoating this, deaths will continue to rise as long as hosp. goes up.

The science is settled at this point. Even the WHO says that lockdowns don't work. All they do is put off the inevitable - the virus is gonna virus. The hubris of our bettors who think they can contain Mother Nature with governmental dictates is on full display. Science!

I worry that we'll be shut down hard next week whoever wins. (She didn't want to do anything drastic before the election that would drive up the red vote) She still thinks she can "contain" the virus. And like all dems she thinks we're too stupid to take care of ourselves. 6/7
She's not going to morph in Kristi Noem at this point. To let the virus run its natural course would be admitting that she was wrong before. Not gonna happen. 7/7
