Folks, even Ann Selzer nods. She put out one of the worst polls of the last decade, an Obama +13 survey from June of 2012 that was so bad Nate Silver, riffing on Bryce Harper, dismissed it as "a clown poll, bro." But the neuralgic reaction to her Iowa poll tonight is absurd.

Two years later, Selzer issued her last poll of the 2014 cycle and found Ernst up 7 on Bruce Braley. It proved prophetic and that's when Selzer's reputation really started to take hold.

History didn't begin last year, or even with the last election. It would be helpful if a lot of people on Twitter dot com remembered that. Because a lot of people on Twitter dot com really need to.

I'd love to see this kind of reaction when Quinnipiac puts out one of its insane D+77 polls. But it's easy not to get that sort of reaction when you tell people what they want to hear.
