When you launch a religious war against millions of people, as @EmmanuelMacron has done, it’s going to trigger a few unstable individuals to commit horrific acts. A wise leader would de-escalate and seek real unity, not pour gas on the flames as Macron has done.

And as I’ve said before, to the extent that “Islamic radicalism” is a problem, there needs to be a full open inquiry into the French state’s role in nurturing it by arming and funding self-styled “jihadist” fanatics in Syria, Libya and elsewhere.
