The UK is a miserable country even in the best of times, and if you aren't wealthy enough to go on a night out to the Shard followed by XOYO then there isn't a lot for you to do except go to the pub or the odd nice meal out. When those shut down or foreclose, what else is there?
And what has the past year actually done to convince any of those disenfranchised young people that the UK is worth living in, fighting for, or believing in?
