All the recent attacks in France are coordinated by a particular organisation and are not lone wolf assailants. The pattern is way too similar to the 2014-2016 period. What looks like sporadic attacks have been planned in advance on a strategic level.
It's most likely ISIS, but there's also some level of mimetic spread going on with the far-right French now also being involved in racist attacks (on Arabs and Muslims) and terrorist attempts (Avignon).
It's a massive security failure on the part of the French state which is struggling to control these various trends by coordinated non-state organisations.
Ignore the media hype and all the stuff swirling around "the islamist threat". It's all noise. Unfortunately, to save face, the French state is playing into all this so it appears like it hasn't failed to counter coordinated terrorist networks.
Again, a familiar pattern by a government. Easier to scapegoat entire minority communities than to accept that they failed to stop coordinated non-state actors from breaking the state's monopoly on violence.
As I said, the organisation's strategy is to create a vicious cycle of death as states, non Muslims and Muslims blame each other for persecution, oppression and killing instead of focusing on the real enemy
