Thanks to @AxeltheInferno for running the numbers we've calculated that according to Genshin Impacts Probability system you would effectively have to spend a MINIMUM of $150 US to get a 5 star character.
But it gets WORSE! In order to max out that 5 star if you managed to do it perfectly the absolute MINIMUM you would pay would be $900 US to max out that 5 star!
But since there's about 15 5 stars and you're likely to not roll the same one, a more realistic estimate for a single full 5 star would be somewhere along the lines of $10,800 US REALISTICALLY to max out a SINGLE 5 star character in Genshin Impact.
Probability laws places it at around 72 5 star rolls for you to get 6 copies of a single 5 star character at least 60% of the time which is where the $10,800 US comes from.

And for the icing on the cake, Genshin performs this classic predatory attack when you try to uninstall it and that is just... God there should be actual laws against this stuff because this is just flat out manipulation
It's important to note that this post is not about Genshins actual GAMEPLAY. As a GAME it has a solid base with good mechanics.
HOWEVER, the Gatcha mechanics are very predatory and easily abused by people who have poor self control of their money which NEEDS to be recognized.
