Since the killing of George Floyd, protests against racialized violence by police have been met with further egregious police brutality.

With @bellingcat, we verified & analysed over 1000 incidents of US police violence.

View the interactive data here: http://blmprotests.forensic-architecture.org
The data we've gathered evidences:

- 400+ attacks on civilians using chemical agents
- 300+ instances of unjustified arrest, detention, and intimidation
- 300+ physical assaults by officers
- 250+ attacks on journalists, medics, and legal observers

And we're still adding more.
Now, we're putting this data at the service of organisations pursuing accountability at a local and national level.

Thanks not only to our fantastic and dedicated team of volunteers researchers, but also to @greg_doucette, & @JuniperLSimonis & the @r2020PB team, who are engaged in similar archiving work. The proper response to this brutality begins by securing and archiving the evidence.
