Most people don't even know what the word means in part because it's been so distorted, in some cases deliberately & others not. Here's a video where I discussed that & other terms it's confused for. ⤵ https://twitter.com/LeeCamp/status/1321836539450662913
Here are a few of the examples of it that I've faced:
1. Being denied dietary accommodations in a homeless shelter when they provided food- for over a month- when they had Kosher meals in their freezer.
2. Being told I was "just refusing to eat" by complaining on the above⤵
& the related weight loss.
3. Having it be demanded by a group residence that I lived in that I do my taxes on a Saturday.
4. Being pestered for months by that program on"what I wanted for Christmas?"When I kept telling them"I'm Jewish &we don't give or get gifts" then having ⤵
a bunch of items I never asked for most obviously useless appear in my home from them as "my gift" including a new soap that, when I tried it, made my skin peel off showing a clear allergy.
5. Getting my "no Saturday working" repeatedly switched by a job placement agency⤵
to be a combo of a "medical problem" & an "attitude problem".

6. Being told I "don't look Jewish"
7. No alcohol purchasing allowed on Sunday's as many if not most winery & distillery events are held on Saturday's
8.Mail&business day of Saturday is included but Sundays aren't.⤵
Some of these, & others I've left out, are systemic as others are individualized but both sets are problems. To deny they exist is to deny said bigotry exists!
