New Party please! It’s long overdue. We weren’t allowed to run the Labour Party and they’ll never let us near it again. It’s over. It’s back in the hands of warmongers. They don’t want members, they want big donors. Let’s do our own thing... cont. https://twitter.com/NewUKPartyNow/status/1321829194993524736
...we really don’t have a choice. They tried to split it last year. They’re trying again now. To be fair we don’t have the same values as Blair, Mandy, Starmer, Reeves, Phillips and Streeting, etc. No party can accommodate us and them... cont.
...We all know exactly what’s happened over the last 5 years. It will be studied in years to come. I still have to pinch myself at the lies and the industrial scale gaslighting. I find it hard to comprehend - to be so cynical, so deceitful... cont.
...but we need to move on. It’s the ultimate destructive relationship and they have all the power, especially as long as we hang around hoping they’ll change their ways. They won’t. Unity was a lie. They don’t share our politics... cont.
...so some anger still, for sure, but no more tears. I’m almost glad they’re trying to kick Corbyn out. It should be the last straw and just like leaving a horrible partner - let’s leave and not look back... cont.
...we have friends, millions of them, that share our values. Labour hasn’t stood up for labour for decades anyway. Let’s not be too sentimental. Labour set up the NHS, New Labour privatised it. We can create something better... cont.
...the left is going through the same thing everywhere. From the US to Spain. It’s got to be done, so let’s just get on and do it. But let’s be smart, let’s be strategic - let’s first agree we need #somethingnew and follow each other on here... cont.
...but let’s not do what they want us to do - i.e. form a new party straight away, so they can point at it with their media chums and say, ‘look, that’s where all the bad ones have gone.’ We don’t have the establishment on our side... cont.
...so we shouldn’t act like an establishment party. Forgive the war analogy, but we should be like a guerilla movement. No membership - they’ll only spend all year finding the idiot member of ours online that’s said something stupid... cont.
...let’s confirm our core principles with each other nationally, we all know what they are - anti-war, anti-racist, anti-poverty, democratic, pro- human rights, workers, housing, Green New Deal. But let’s do things differently locally... cont.
...let’s organise around what we already do it our communities - food banks, etc. Let’s run for council positions as independents - it’s already happening in places that have had enough... cont.
