How to control your thoughts in 5 simple steps.

The answer to this question usually is:

Surely at that moment, there are lots of matters in our head. Still we answer, "Nothing!".

Mostly there's nothing important in our mind that worths talking about.

We constantly let our thoughts wander and go from a branch to another.

But these thoughts can really affect your feelings.

So, Wouldn't it be great if you could control what you're thinking about, so you could change how you feel at any time?👇
The good news is... Drum roll 🥁... You can❗

Yes! You can control your thoughts.

And here are 5 simple steps to do that👇
Step 1⃣: Learn

Learn to stop in the middle of your thoughts.

Always catch yourself thinking and ask:

🔶How are you feeling?
🔶What are you thinking about?
🔶Why are you thinking about that topic?

Take 5 min. to think about your thoughts. The next 4 steps will help 👇
Step 2⃣: Identify

Identify your negative thoughts.

Begin with how you're feeling and go backward.

Example: For anxiety, ask yourself, "Why do I feel anxious?"

Identify what the ROOT CAUSE is. 👇
Step 3⃣: Write

Write out your negative thoughts.

Why? Because you want it out of your head❗

Now you can gain a distance from the emotions it creates.👇
Step 4⃣: Find

Find the LIE.

What lie? 👉🏻Behind every negative thought, there's a lie that we keep telling ourselves.

Examples of these lies:

🔶"You're worthless."
🔶"You're a failure."
🔶"You can't do anything right."

Write it out next to your negative thoughts.👇
Step 5⃣: Recognize

Recognize the truth.

The only way to fight lies is the truth.

The process of this step differs for everyone.

🔶Talk to a friend about it and ask for opinions.
🔶Read Self-awareness books.
🔶Even pray and ask God, why not?
🔶...
Now write the truth. 👇
Now, you can see that things are not as bad as you thought.

Use the truth to think that your upcoming life will happen just as how you expect it.

Feel the confidence and calmness from your positive experiences.
