Can we please start a widespread conversation over how Red Letter Media has always been fucking toxic and never should have become a staple of Internet media content?
Someone of decently-sized status needs to write an article or make a video essay detailing everything wrong with Red Letter Media and how we inexplicably normalized their brand of nerdbro critique.

I get the feeling no one of stature has tackled Red Letter Media's toxicity because they helped establish video essays as a form of content.
That doesn't give RLM a pass, though. You can't just ignore how awful something is just because they were a foundation of a larger thing.
