Ever since Quran was revealed on Prophet ﷺ there have been objections, aspersion laid on it. Allaah answered them all in his speech (the Quran) and through his Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
In the last khudbah of Prophet ﷺ it was evident that Islam is complete

Long thread 1/
Hence approach to countering aspersions on Islam should be based on the Quran and Hadith. The methodology to interpret them should be the way the companions (sahaba) of Prophet ﷺ interpreted. Any confusion or difference of opinion should be referred to Quran & Hadith 2/
In this long thread, below few weird allegations against Islam will be addressed (bi-ithnillaah)
1. That Islam is casteist
2. That lineage is casteism (or leads to it)
3. That knowledge is for higher caste
4. That a paradox exists because there are teachings
prohibiting casteism & at the same time encouraging it
5. That Muslims who follow Islam are casteist because of Islam (not in spite of Islam)
6. Islam promotes endogamy
7. Spirituality is for a higher caste
8. Quraish are over and above other Muslims
⭐Introduction
Islam is egalitarian in opposing all forms of racism, tribalism, doctrines & pernicious ideologies which incite the pride of one class of people against another. Quran & Sunnah marks righteousness (al-taqwa) being the only distinguishing feature that makes
someone better than another. All people descended from Adam.
This is explicit and clear. 5/n
Find it important to mention that no one is born with an ideology
In fact, when a child is born, irrespective of which house and to what kind of parents (atheists, non-believers, polytheists, Hindus etc.) they are not disadvantaged by birth. 6/n
⭐Understanding Lineage:
Islam pays great attention to chain/Sanad. Nothing is credible without it. Be it the recordings of Prophet ﷺ or about lineage of people. Many things like inheritance, assigning responsibilities in relationship of of parents/children/relatives etc. 7/n
The objective is also to know, have bonding, develop kinship towards each other.
Lineage isn't just about recording. It has a specific purpose.
However the misuse of lineage considered something that was of the age ignorance (before Islam).
Lineage doesn't count otherwise 8/n
Prophet ﷺ was clear as to who will be dear to him, lineage won’t help, taqwa will 9/n
Lineage won’t speed him up. 10/n
The forefathers won’t help, and they are no criteria 11/n
Still some more on lineage... because s=miscreants base their argument & take lineage caste system...

There are sahabaas who were non-Arabs like Salman and Miqsam, who were Persians, Bilaal al-Habashi (who was Ethiopian) , Zunayrah ar-Roomiyyah (who was Byzantine), 12/n
Barakah al-Habashiyyah (who was Ethiopian) and others such as Suhaym the freed slave of Banu’l-Has-haas, Ya‘eesh the slave of Banu’l-Mugheerah, Khaalid ibn al-Hawaari, and Tamaam al-Habashi. 13/n
Preservation of progeny is one of the objectives of life, and it is something that one is allowed to cherish and relish 14/n

There are many more references on lineage but this should have cleared the importance and stress given in Islam on lineage 14/n
⭐Is knowledge anyone’s prerogative in Islam?
Rather than knowledge being someone’s prerogative, in Islam Acquiring knowledge is obligatory on each Muslim.
The knowledgeable/scholars are the best amongst people. They are the heirs of prophet. There are enough examples of it. 15/n
Mu'adh ibn Jabal (ra) is an Ansari with no [familial] connection to Quraish. This hadith about him leading the jamaat of ulema/scholars is so profound.
It also suggests, knowledge is for all irrespective of their stature & why education is paramount 16/n

This also reminds me of the cleaner who became an Imaam (such things aren't a surprise but surely bring happiness, Knowledge is no barred in Islam

⭐Is there endogamy in Islam, is it promoted?
Crudely to explain: A restaurant says there are 4 types of food that people like, BUT they offer ONLY one type.
Its ridiculous if someone concludes that restaurant is promoting what they don't offer, that is the other 3? 18/n
This isn't a mystery for those who know
Still Quoting Imaam Al-Nawawi & Imaam Malik here for reference. 19/n
Messenger of Allaah ﷺ married Zaynab bint Jahsh al-Qurashiyyah to his freed slave Zayd ibn Haarithah
He married Faatimah bint Qays al-Fahriyyah al-Qurashiyyah to Usaamah, the son of Zayd,
He married Bilaal ibn Rabaah to the sister of ‘Abd al-Rahmaan ibn ‘Awf. ... 20/n
This shows what is meant by equality in marriages. It is not about anything else but taqwa
It is not impermissible though and not wrong to consider other factors “also”. But only after religiosity 21/n
⭐Does spirituality, love of Allaah, ultimate reward of Jannah depend on what your class is?
Though already discussed, sharing one hadith that will warm our heart, In-Sha-Allah.
Bilaal (ra) was an abyssian black slave..
Also Suhayb was a Roman, and Salman was a Persian 22/n
⭐The hadith(s) about Quraish. What about them?
So far, we have things are crystal clear, there seem to be nothing that make a Muslim more entitled to Jannah (and hence success) than anything else. So let us take ask a few questions. 23/n
Where is casteism more?
Why less in Arabs & more in India and neighbouring countries?
If Islam endorsed casteism, it why has it not grown in Arab land?
How many scholars endorse casteism?
How many masajid are prohibited based on caste or anything for that matter? 24/n
More questions:
Why Prophethood given to an Arab & why to a specific Arab?
Why given at age of 40?
Why Prophet ﷺ married only the one whom he married, why didn’t he marry other women?
These are circular moronic arguments leading to nothing.
Quran explains it 25/n
Now the hadiths on Quraish. (While many scholars have spoken against the interpretation of those hadith, I will not mention it here)

It isn’t that the Quraish alone have been blessed. Allah favors some nations over others by bestowing divine revelation upon them, but it 26/n
has nothing to do with race, tribe, or lineage. Allah only favors some nations over others because of their righteous deeds. That favor is lost with the loss of righteousness, which is why the Israelites eventually fell from grace

Also consider this hadith about ruler 27/n
Allaah blesses and deprives people of whatever he wishes. No two people are equal in terms of the blessings they have got (or not got). To some Allah gives beauty, to others, strength, to some he tests with poverty, to some with sight and likewise.
To each a different test. 28/n
Privileging Quraysh with the caliphate do not contradict Allah’s saying about the believers (what means):
Indeed, the most noble of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous of you
[Quran 49: 13] The verse makes all humans equal in humanity

This is about leading 29/n
⭐Is there any paradox?
I don’t think this needs to be answered now. The above points have made it clear
We saw:
- purpose for recording lineage. Nothing to do with caste system.
- there is no endogamy in Islam.
- knowledge is obligatory on all, no restrictions 30/n
- leaders, scholars, imams, spiritual heads has nothing to do with anything except knowledge & Taqwa
- the ruling of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ about ruler being slave

There is no paradox but there is either erroneous understanding or something sinister. 31/n
Do check
- who all write these articles,
- how much respect they have for Islam.
- the kind of words they use
- the scant respect they show to Prophet ﷺ in their writings
- what imagery they use in their write ups
- who they are associated with 32/n
There are many who claim to have read Quran and yet not been benefited by it.
Hidayat is with Allaah alone also Allaah gives it to those who are honest seekers, for those who do it with ill intention,
Allaah deviates them even more.33/n
⭐The present-day situation
Islam is not answerable for the wrongs that a Muslim does, rather it is Muslims who are answerable.
If any of us indulge in this, it should be a wake up call for all of us. To turn to Allaah before we return to him. 34/n
⭐I conclude by saying:

What is correct and good in this write up is from Allaah and the wrong is from me.
May Allaah forgive me for the wrong and accept my effort.
And to to him belongs everything.

JJazakum Allah khaira 35/35
