I have followed Meghan since her Suits/Tig days. Gabriel and Gina my favs.
I’ve followed Harry since the death of his mother. Two individuals from broken homes trying to contribute to society.
Pundits, royal biographers, racists, and the tabloids have tried to create this narrative that they are status seekers.
When really it’s two people trying to overcome barriers that stood in the way of their destiny.
Meghan the social climber. Who did she climb over. Sad Dad was supposed to provide for her. Trevor a struggling producer, a chef who’s not known outside of Canada. Who did she climb over?
If she was Meghan from the trailer park she would have the fortitude to get through college, get the American dream of success, the intelligence to start her own company. She would be lauded for trying to give back to society.
Dog whistles: hustler, gold digger, social climber, uppity, jezebel, etc. See we shouldn’t have ambitions, opinions, work ethic, respect for ourselves. How dare she think she is superior to those family members who vilified and disparaged her.
Harry a sad child ,whose childhood was horrific. You can’t gloss over the public fighting of his parents and his mothers death. What could he do but put on a brave face and keep walking into the future. No public outcry for counseling.
Just looky loos.
They wanted a playboy prince, instead they got a military man who fought for Queen and country. Were they happy, No. His personal life was hacked by those same pundits who are trolling him today. He said he would stay in the firm for the Queen.
What man works for free? The Queen, POW, and DOC will have steady income. Harry’s children living off the largesse of others. Courtiers telling you what you can and can’t do. Royal welfare system. Still seeking his future!
Two disenfranchised people meet, fall in love, marry, have a child and the world has an opinion. You don’t like one or both, fine. It’s their life, it’s their pursuit of happiness, it’s them trying to build a family out of the chaos of their childhood.
