I love finding something that will be 10-1000x better in a decade. It makes it easy to be optimistic, which we all need more of.

This could be anything - a new company, a person who's becoming more skilled and effective, a new product feature, etc.
Believing in these things early is a lot of fun. You're not always right, but you end up more excited (and supporting good things when that support matters)!

These are great examples; and this is the first time I wrote down "don't resign yourself to cynicism," which has become something of a motto. I even started calling myself an "Antipessimist."
