i want akechi to break up with akira bc he thinks he isn't good enough for akira and akira is like. aware that he's been broken up with but refuses to process it properly so he keeps calling akechi up in the middle of the night to talk and akechi will always take his calls
and it's killing him! he's still in love! he's trying to move on but akira refuses to let him...meanwhile akira's already moved onto another relationship with someone who keeps demanding more emotional vulnerability from him than he's comfortable with and akechi has to deal w it
from the other end of the city, knowing he's better at loving akira than anyone else could be and knowing he isn't good enough to take that role anyway, so starved for affection and gentleness that he'll take the late night calls and consider himself fortunate.
there's a time he's so tired and hurt he starts crying in the middle of the call, tells akira he can't keep going like this...akira's distraught, hates that he hurt akechi without meaning to (takes it as proof it's all he's even capable of, even when akechi was so good for him)
promises akechi he won't do it again. and he doesn't, he stops calling, lets akechi move on.
