Why I love Esdeath. A thread:

Now I have many reasons as to why I love this character. But I guess the main reason is for how evil she is and how heartless she seems. Plus the whole “survival of the fittest” dogma she has is a very interesting trait for a character to have imo. But she carries it out-

-differently than other characters with the same trait do. At least in my opinion. Now we move on to her love for Tatsumi. I personally feel like her loving Tatsumi did help her grow as a person, even if it wasn’t by a lot. And now we move on to another topic; her powers-

Now I know that MANY other characters in fiction have the power to manipulate ice. But I feel like Esdeath is practically ice incarnate. Which is why I think the power of ice is the most fitting. Because if it were literally anything else, it wouldn’t feel right to me. Next we-

-move onto what might’ve been the most satisfying moment in the series for some people; her death. While her death did leave me sad af, it also helped me see the irony in her own dogma. She saw herself as an extremely powerful person who could never lose, but, in the end,-

-she lost. Now, I like to see her death as her greatest moment as weird as that might sound. But it allowed her to see the flaws in what she believed. That even the strong can lose, and that power isn’t all you need to live. This, is why I love Esdeath.
