haikyu is so hard to get ppl into bcuz its always 'oh i dont care about volleyball' and the beginning of it rly does feel like. 'yea this is a shonen' and its so much subtle buildup but its really just the single most inspirational media ive consumed

at its core its themes are so simple just like. be the best person you can be, the things you do today are the building blocks for tomorrow. be mindful of yourself and people around you. everyone is important and living their own story. small interactions can make big impacts

but its all handled so well and the payoffs are so large and it doesnt feel. preachy or condescending or anything it just really feels like. 'you should do this for your sake because taking care of yourself and others is a fulfilling thing' and its like. its good man!

also the line thats like. 'you dont need a reason to start something all you need is a little curiousity' thats like. so important. sooooo important there are so many things ive been interested in but scared to start and its like. you can end up loving things you never realized
