Got around to reading this piece. It's a good critique of Vermeule's 'integralism'.
It points out that he fails to engage with liberalism in the mindset of the Church (for example, by promoting a Catholic vision of 'human rights', instead of rejecting the concept) 1/3 https://twitter.com/polimystic_ian/status/1313554797031759874

Most importantly, he points out that Vermeule's reliance on Schmitt sneaks in liberal premises, which leads to a seriously warped theory of executive power.
Subsidiary is more than just a catchphrase in CST, it's an absolute rejection of totalitarian state power 2/3

An alternative vision of integralism, which I believe is more completely faithful to the Magisterium, can be found from some of the great mind at New Polity. They too provide an excellent critique of Vermeule's fixation on the state /fin https://newpolity.com/blog/burying-liberalism-for-good
