The importance of Hijab

Many of our sisters in Islam are not correctly enlightened once they begin to observe the requirements of Hijab. It may be that a sister has been obliged to wear the Hijab without truly pondering over its superiority and uniqueness.
A sister who does not understand the superiority of Hijab will always remain envious of disbelieving women because they observe these misguided disbelievers attempting to look beautiful for all to see, which causes her to feel ashamed of her own Hijab.
Modesty is a quality that is loved by Allah, our sisters must take comfort in knowing that they are modest and not like those women who show themselves off to the world. Such women will not be shielded from Allahâs wrath.
Allahâs Messenger ï·ș said: âAny woman who takes off her clothes in other than her husbandâs home, has broken Allahâs shield upon her.â

Modesty is a trait most loved by Allah.

Itâs difficult for the Muslim woman to go out wearing Hijab in a society that mocks and torments her. She would certainly feel like an outsider. However, if she realises the status of those who are mocked by the disbelievers, then she would continue to wear her Hijab with dignity
âIslam began as something strange, and it will revert to (its old position of) being strange, so good news is for the strangers.â [Muslim]
And say to the believing women that they should lower their gaze and guard their private parts; that they should not display their beauty and ornaments except what (must ordinarily) appear thereof;......
that they should draw their khimÄr over their breasts and not display their beauty except to their husband.

Hijab is purity and the heart may become more pure with the Hijab as the sight is blocked and there will be prevention of evil actions or thought.
With the hijab a woman can be judged by her character or her good nature rather than her looks.

Sisters, you are wearing an Ayat of the Quran and following the example of the greatest Muslim women in history, including the wives of our Prophet ï·ș. Itâs about our identity as Muslims which is something to be proud of. Do not let the people of ignorance turn you away.
