It always throws people off to hear someone isn't a Democrat or Republican. There are many reasons why I'm a @baltimoregreens. First off, I care about the environment and I feel a sense of urgency to make change and put climate at the forefront of issues (1/5)
I see a lot of progressives that aren't local Green Party members. It's interesting because their values do align most with the Green Party. Learning what the values are definitely helped me take the jump :) (2/5)
Baltimore Greens are great organizers. @baltimoregreens are consistently protesting, backing the people, and unions. Sometimes you have to get uncomfortable & unpolished to truly make lasting change. Shout out @FrancaMullerPaz #PorLaGente #FrancaForThePeople (3/5)
1000 - $60 donations from the people > 10 - $6000 donations from Corps. We need representation that ONLY represents the best interest of the people. I always say that people are the subject matter experts of their communities....they just need a seat at the table (4/5)
Now back to the environment. What we're doing right now isn't working as far as combatting climate change. There is a LOT we can do at a local level #AskMeHow Not to be dark...but we can't combat racism, sexism, and all the other -isms.......if we're all dead (5/5)
What proves I made the right decision are the passionate, talented, generous, humble people I've met since working with @baltimoregreens
