Since Roe v. Wade is being discussed a lot lately- here is a little primer on how to debate a pro-choicer. Thread:
It's fetal tissue, not a human being...

Whether or not you call it a baby at the early stages of development doesn't matter. Science shows us that this is a unique human life that, already in the first trimester, has begun to develop its own heart, brain, and circulatory system.
It's not a viable life...

This argument can be extended well past the point of birth, as babies and toddlers, left to their own devices, would not be able to survive for very long. Actually, the same goes for the elderly and sick and all those that depend on us for care.
Abortion is the responsible choice...

There is nothing moral about the idea that if you think you're going to be a bad parent you get to kill the child. Using this same logic of not being a capable parent would allow you to go drown your 4 year old child in a river. Insane.
Abortion makes life better for women...

If your freedom comes at the expense of another human being than it's not your freedom that is the top priority.
Rape and Incest...

This is a pro-choice favorite. To justify abortion in all circumstances, this argument uses shock and awe. Rape and incest make up for less than 1% of all abortions, if you are willing to concede that the other 99% are bad, maybe we can have a conversation.
Rape and Incest continued...

As far as the baby: We can all be sympathetic and still realize that it is an illogical argument that the baby should pay the price for the crime of the father.
My body my choice...

I'm not interested in the woman's esophagus, kidneys or circulatory system, heart, or anything else she needs to live- I'm interested in protecting "the living human being" that is inside the woman.
Health/Life of the Mother...

Distinguish the difference between health and life- If the woman's life is in danger and abortion is the only thing that can save her, of course it's ok in that sad and very rare occasion. Again- argument is used often, but very rarely happens.
