1/ This may be the most important thread I’ve written to date. There is an existential threat to progress we’ve made dating back to the Warren court, and Since Amy Coney Barrett is being nominated for SCOTUS, we need to understand her ties.
2/ There has been a slow take over of our judicial system by religious zealots funded and trained by the Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF). You may not know who they are but you probably recognize some of their high profile cases.
3/ Namely the trans bathroom case, the Colorado bakery cases, https://www.advocate.com/politics/2017/12/06/meet-hate-group-using-cake-push-gay-discrimination-trans-sterilization etc, basically cases that promote religious bigotry in America.
4/ So what is the ADF? They are an organization that trains up and coming lawyers to become part of a “Christian Legal Army” by having them swear to hold biblical justice over the rule of law.
5/ Here’s their statement https://www.adflegal.org/about-us/careers/statement-of-faith, not only that, they explicitly talk about biological sex and marriage between a man a woman, as well as conception.
6/ Barrett is funded and backed by the ADF. She has given several speeches for them over the years. So was Kavanaugh. https://www.adflegal.org/press-release/adf-president-confirmation-brett-kavanaugh-us-supreme-court
7/ The Southern Poverty Law Center has classified the ADF as a “hate group” https://www.splcenter.org/fighting-hate/extremist-files/group/alliance-defending-freedom because of their extremist views in trying to criminalize or re-criminalize homosexuality nationally and internationally.

10/ There are over 3000 lawyers, lawmakers, and judges affiliated with them. Many appointed during the Trump presidency.
11/ Now Barrett, who has associated with them her entire career, stands to use the SCOTUS to enforce her brand of religious bigotry on our LGBTQIA brothers and sisters and non binary folks, as well as forcing women to carry unwanted pregnancies https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2020/09/29/amy-coney-barretts-2017-confirmation-hearing-analyzed/
12/ The ADF wants to turn this country into a theocracy by removing separation of church and state and rolling back so much progress in this country.
13/ They have something called the Blackstone Fellowship which is a secret fellowship that trains Christian lawyers to interpret law by a fundamentalist Christian standard. https://rewirenewsgroup.com/article/2014/05/13/illuminati-fundamentalist-christians-infiltrating-state-federal-government/ Barrett has ties to the fellowship as well.
14/ They seek to restore the courts to the dark ages. They often file amicus briefs for high profile religious bigotry cases like for the Little Sisters case, and even internationally to try to criminalize homosexuality and abortion everywhere, even in places like Romania.
15/ ACB is associated with this hate group, but so are people in the White House, the DOJ, and Congress. No one that will hold the Bible over the laws of this country has a right to serve in our government.
16/ No one with ties to radical hate groups deserves a law license, much less a SCOTUS appointment. We need to spread awareness of this vile group and root these people out of our government and judicial system. Hate has no place in government. Period.
17/ This group is an assault on who we want to be as a country and it’s an assault on human dignity.

18/ Please spread awareness by sharing this thread and call your Senators to ask that they don’t support any candidate for any office associated with the ADF.
