The Ikhwan movement was created by the UK and France at the end of the 1800’s, in a direct response to the rise of Arab Cultural Renaissance & Unification & Liberation movements, & Muslim Liberation Theology led by the likes of Emir Abdelkader & Mohammad Said alArfi. 1/

They nurtured the founder, Mohamad Abdo, and toured him in Europe and USA to creat what Joseph Massad calls “Islam in Liberalism”. Abdo’s most famous saying, exemplifies how the Ikhwan are a western operation to psychological colonize Islam. 2/

Abdo who toured Imperial domains at a time mass genocide was taking place in plain sight, & slavery & racial discrimination was in your face in capitals he visited; said that in the west he “found Islam without any Muslims” & in his homeland he found “Muslims without Islam”. 3/

What Abdo/Ikhwan are implying, and what the Colonizers wanted Muslims to believe; is that to be a true Muslim, you need to emulate White Man, that Muslim modernity can not be achieved without that. 4/

Abdo wanted Muslims to believe they can achieve the architecture & industrial “wonders” of Imperial domains; if only they copied Whiteness. He didn’t inform them that these achievements are possible only because of the genocide of the Americas, Oceania & enslavement of Africa. 5/

Nothing has changed since the late 1800s in Arab lands. on 1 side you have the Ikhwan/Wahhabis/Liberals selling Whiteness and subordination to Western Rule and way of life; on the other you have Arab Unification and Muslim Liberation Theology offering true liberation. 6/6
