Incoming thread about calculating vote numbers to population percentage in the 2018 elections.With Macron's latest accusation of treason against our corrupt feudal lords, they've resorted to reasserting their "legitimacy" through the 2018 elections. Here's why they can't:
1- Wikipedia data shows that the # of registered voters for 2018 were 3,746,483.
Of those registered, 1,861,203 votes were cast (including blank, discounted, & 'no preference' votes).
1,759,068 is the total number of votes that are split among all parties and what we'll use

2- These are the total number of votes for the 6 main feudal clans & their corresponding percentage to number of registered voters

3- Keeping in mind that these percentages are to those that registered to vote and not the total number of eligible voters that includes the disenfranchised domestic population and the diaspora. The CIA factbook places it around 4,115,000 eligible voters

4- Meaning, the 6 feudal clans won their seats with only 34.16% of registered voters (not even total population, which would make it even less)

5- Adding the domestic pop with the estimated expat/diaspora (4,115,326 + 7mil = 11,115,326). Lets run the percentage of votes to the possible number of votes:
2.66% - Hezbollah
2.49% - FPM
2.30% - Future
1.84% - Amal
1.43% - Lebanese Forces
0.79% - PSP

6- We're effectively being run by 11.5% of the total population. So when feudal clans legitimize themselves through our amazingly "democratic" process, these are the numbers they're referring to. For comparison, Tripoli has a population of ~700k (2.6x the highest clan vote total)
