While we have to take action at an air shed level on #stubbleburning & power plants within 200-300 kms of Delhi, we need to act all year round on factors within Delhi like transport, road & construction dust, & disposal of municipal waste: @GhoshArunabha on @ndtv

Instead of a new law, govt should 1st engage with farmers to understand why current measures to curb #stubbleburning haven't yielded results. In Delhi, legacy issues of waste management & inadequate buses will have to be solved first: @tanushree_g to @timesofindia

Most people in Delhi use pvt transport. Public transport has to be available on a much larger scale. Better than 1,000 electric buses it's preferable to have 4,000 CNG buses so more ppl can switch to those: @KarthikGanesan6

. @GhoshArunabha's proposals for the mooted #airpollution law
1. Mandate #Mission808080
2. Be more incisive at the sectoral level; if there has to be burning, it has to be scientific, based on wind speed, direction etc
3. Focus on real-time enforcement capability
