"Born in the wrong body" is THE justification for turning kids into lifelong medical guinea pigs, for going into schools to "educate" kids. And as soon as that idea is challenged, you drop it to preserve your revenue streams, access to kids, to fend off scrutiny and litigation?

Somehow, it's even more disturbing to realize that many of our opponents have no principles, no commitments, not even the misguided ones we (or at least I) attributed to them. How do you carry out something like this on a generation of kids without believing in what you're doing?

No wonder they can't understand what @jk_rowling did, and why. Quite apart from disagreeing with her, trans activists again and again say: she's rich! She was beloved! Why would she do this?

Why stand up for something unpopular, just because you believe it's right?

There's also the sobering realization that trans activists are determined to burn us as witches, no matter how this shakes out.

And so many people—journalists, politicos, medical providers who've done harm, parents who've transitioned kids—have sunk such costs into this that they'll help the activists rewrite history so they'll always be on the right side, or at least so they're the ones who were wronged.
