Krishna -The smartest student in the Universe
After their thread ceremony at the Krishna and Balaram were ready for their Gurukul life.
(A thread ceremony यज्ञोपवीतम् yajñopavītam or upavīta - marks that a male child is ready for their gurukul life which requires simplicity in
minimalism) They were sent to sage Sandipani's ashram (near Ujjain, in Madhya Pradesh) In this Gurukul Krishna was introduced to His soon to be best friend Sudama. At the Asharam various Kalas were taught these mainly are 64 Arts & 14 Techniques of Ancient INDIA
Kala means
performing arts in sanskrit. The mastery of as many of the 64 traditional arts known as the Chausath
Kalas or Chathusashti Kalas, formed an important basis in the development of a cultured individual in many parts of ancient India.
Within a span of 64 days, Krishna learnt fourteen types of sciences (vidyas) and sixty­four arts (kalas), each of which would take a normal person two to two and a half years to accomplish.
