Your reminder that O'Toole did NOT serve in the Royal Canadian Air Force. He served in the Canadian Forces Air Command under unfication of services. This would have been his badge.
The RCAF name did not return until 2013 when the Harper Govt (tm) reinstated the Royal designation. O'Toole takes after previous SoCons in that he will do anything to pad his resume and pretending that he was serving in something called the RCAF is a lie.
He spent the first four years of his military time in education on the taxpayer dime. He served five years in chopper navigation in Air Command. It was NOT the RCAF at the time.
He was part of a team, and not the leader.
