Proposed migration of all FCRA designated accounts to SBI New Delhi, needs to be thought through. How will charities and religious trusts spread across India open and manage accounts home-branched at Delhi?
Revised Sec. 17 creates an FCRA banking gateway in Delhi. Why? So no one can getaway? Really
move...

Tired of #FCRA or of working with foreign funds? Want to surrender your certificate? Sure - but let’s check your pockets first. (Sec 14A)
And do please leave ALL your FCRA stuff behind. Car keys, office keys, training centre keys, bank passwords, fixed deposit receipts, chairs, tables, computers, laptops, projectors, stationery. And yes, land deeds.
At the DM’s office, if you please. (proposed Sec.14A and 15)

Revised sec. 7 of #FCRA is like a tectonic shift of philanthropy in India. Donor agencies & larger NGOs won’t be able to sub-grants FC funds to other FC-registered NGOs. It’ll change the landscape of Charity in India.
