Having a Purpose

What does this mean to you?

You’ll come across the phrase a lot in these circles but it might not be entirely clear to you what this means.

So let me give you my thoughts.

Hopefully they help you.

<{~= THREAD =~}>
Firstly, I believe, like others, that in order to be truly happy - you need a purpose.

This can be broken down into 2 main categories:

1. Obtaining freedom in every aspect of life.

2. Reaching your optimal state in every aspect of life.
So let’s break them down:

~ Freedom for me is primarily being able to create your own income.

By doing this, you open up the doors to other kinds of freedom (go where you want, when you want. Work when you want...)

85% of people are unhappy in their jobs.

EIGHTY FIVE PERCENT.
But people need to work to pay the bills

And then there’s “no time” to work on creating their own income

And the cycle continues

So most people live their entire lives this way. Unhappy at work. But don’t try and change their situation.

The Internet is a game changer - USE IT
How much happier would you be if you could make sufficient money to live and beyond, on your own?

No alarms.

No holiday limits.

No overly formal email talk.

No compulsory dress.

No biting your tongue because your colleague is an annoying bitch.

Nada.
A lot happier.

And this is why this is my first category for “having a purpose”.

Become self sufficient.

Break free from the 9-5 lifestyle.

This should be the main goal of 85% of people (at least).

And if you’re reading this, it’s probably a goal of yours - so good job.
~ Reaching your optimal state in every aspect of life

These ideas came whilst discussing this on @LogFitz6 Tweet yesterday

What % of people are truly working every day on improving every area of their life?

Physical, mental, spiritual - & all of their subcategories

NOT MANY
Most people are in bad shape.

With bad diets, no exercise.

Bad habits.

0 drive.

Limited interests outside of entertainment/junk food/drink and drugs.

No hope.
So people are miserable, complain, distract themselves with endless consumption.

Why? Because they have no purpose.

They complain to fill the void where action should be.

Once you’re busy working on yourself, the complaining stops.

There’s no time to complain. It’s pointless
This was a thought I had upon observing @Moneybaglives Tweet earlier on today.

Now...

Why are people not striving to become financially independent and therefore FREE?

Why are people not working to become the best version of themselves?

Sinple.

They’ve given up.
FREEDOM:

“I guess this is just the way life is”.

BULLSHIT.

Life is how you make it.

Do some people possess a higher IQ? Sure.

Are some people genetically blessed? Sure.

So what? Your job is to improve yourself, put the pieces together and do the best that you can.
Some people will be better suited to one thing, others something else.

But everyone reading this has THE INTERNET.

Everyone reading this has access to ALL THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE WORLD.

In the palm of your hand. USE IT.
Are you going to live your entire life unhappy because “that’s just the way life is 😢”...

If the answer is yes then I’m sorry, you’ve wasted your time reading this.

If the answer is a resounding NO - GOOD.
IMPROVEMENT:

Most of this probably comes down to the “given up” attitude.

“Life is what it is, so I might as well enjoy it...” - for most people this means mindless consumption.

Eat shit. Binge watch TV. Binge drink/drugs. Spend endless time gaming.
They’ve misunderstood the concept of “enjoying life”.

Escapism is not “enjoying life”, it’s avoiding it.

If you’re dedicated to improving your body you won’t want to eat shit.

If you’re dedicated to learning new skills you won’t want to spend 5 hours playing PlayStation.
Why? Because you have a PURPOSE.

Are these things inherently bad?

No, they’re fun.

But do them responsibly.

Do them FOR fun.

Not to ESCAPE.
So those are my thoughts.

PURPOSE = Striving for freedom + optimum performance in every aspect of life

If those 2 ideas are at the forefront of your mind, you’ll have purpose

If you have purpose, you’ll be happy

⭐️But don’t forget to be grateful for what you already have.⭐️
