Post canon au(saying sunny just gives me the excuse to get canon info wrong) with skk where dazai and chuuya get baited into moving in together (even tho that can only go horribly wrong)(and dazai and chuuya both have enough money to live on their own)
part of the reason i was thinking was dazai gets lonely but he would rather ask his rival/enemy/major annoyance to live w him as opposed to the people he’s actually friends with
but that can be addressed later. anyway:
-dazai waking chuuya from an arahabaki (?) induced nightmare
-chuuya walking into dazai absolutely destroying the apartment (you know how it is with spaghetti)
-them destroying the apt together when they fight

shower they share and getting worried abt him and he didn’t think he’d worry about smth so minuscule, but he knows dazai is dazai, but in the end dazai is lazy and takes hour long showers even when the water runs cold, and dazai tells chuuya to enjoy the ice water
Also because it’s post canon dazai giving a proper apology to akutagawa. I will fit it in because I can. Chuuya probably encourages him to do it but he gets the idea on his own, bc post canon dazai is trying to be more decent

Another thing: chuuya learning that dazai is nocturnal bc he doesn’t see him on the weekends, and wakes up to hear him rustling around the place at 2am (don’t call me kin in the replies)
Chuuya about the chew dazai out for blaring music in the apt and singing bc he’s trying to focus but he can’t bring himself to bc even if dazai is an annoying roommate there’s also periods of time where dazai doesn’t do anything which scares chuuya more than when dazais a bastard
This au is just dazais a bad roommate and chuuya doesn’t get as angry as he thinks he should be
