i understand some people have friendships where you banter and joke around like that but it’s irresponsible to make a comment like that publicly bc of how it can be extremely triggering and upsetting to others watching plus i’ve banter like that with my close friends
privately before but we would never do it around other people bc of how that language would affect them also to make a comment like that about someone’s weight in front of others & the whole world to see jokingly or not is really not okay and can be really humiliating to someone.
i dont hate L or think he’s a bad person or have ill intent i also don’t agree the hate being sent towards him by other fans rn but i also think people have every right upset w/ the comment are and concerned for
1. others who could be affected and triggered by it especially seeing it being said about someone who is actually very fit healthy and small
2. although we don’t personally know b and his relationship with his friends and i am in no way trying to speak for him and i hope this isn’t overstepping but it is concerning and upsetting seeing a comment like that being made towards him jokingly or not
bc he has displayed some body image issues and have been on some very concerning diets in the past so i understand the concern coming from fans
sorry for a rant but this topic really hits close to home & i really don’t like seeing people defending the comments & telling other people they shouldn’t be upset about it. i understand wanting to defend the group bc they do get unnecessary backlash but this time is different
