I've been doing the write-about-climate-change-cry-at-night-and-sometimes-in-front-of-sources-and-audiences-and-maybe-in-front-of-you-too thing for a long time now. 2/t
It's super hard to know what we've done and super easy to feel overwhelmed or so choked up that you stop paying attention and stop caring. 3/t
But don't look away. Don't close your heart. Don't listen to charlatans & liars. Don't give up on working toward change. Be fierce & wild & full of love for the things & places & people you want to protect. 4/t
As someone who has interviewed tons of people about their work on climate--scientists, activists, people in all sorts of agencies, pols, teenagers, so many people--all I can say to you is it matters what you do. It 100% matters. It matters now & it matters for the future 5/t
There's never been a better time to reckon with what we've done; stake a new, more humble claim on the future; and embrace big changes. Continuing to fumble (or subvert or deny or whatever) is no longer an option. t/t
