While I really admire Dilip Mandal's columns, this piece is SO FAR OFF THE MARK on how Christian insitutions, particularly convent schools operate. Worse, it plays right into the Sangh narrative of it, which has always been reductive and dishonest https://theprint.in/opinion/vhp-rss-panic-christianity-religious-conversion-failed-project-india/498698/?amp
I mean the RSS as an NGO by far receives the most amount of foreign funding in India. But they're threatened by the funds that Christian orgs receive because it's supposedly used to lure lower caste Hindus and vanvasis into the fold?
Where does their funds go?
Where does their funds go?
Oh yes to build temples that they won't be allowed into, shakhas where they are radicalised and schools where they'll be taught Sanskrit/Hindi and Yoga - which is totally useful skills to have in the capitalist economy run by Brahmins and Baniyas.
Bravo.
