Cesar Azpilicueta started his professional carrer in Osasuna where he established himself as a good all round defender, in 2010 he moved to Marseille for a few of 5.4m where he started 21 times as a Right Back.

In the end of the 2011/12 Season after making 44 appearances he made his big move to Chelsea 7.9 m is nothing giving what he would become for Chelsea, making 51 apps on his first season he helped Chelsea win their first Europa League on the 2012/13 season a sign of things to come

The next season starts and we can start to see why he is such a good defender, not only he's good as a attacking full back he can defend as well and he's very versatile being able to play in whatever position in defense that being LB, RB or even CB if needed.

In the 2014/15 Season he had established himself as one of the most pivotal Chelsea players making 40 apps he was seen as the next Ashley Cole, his partnership with Branislav Ivanovic Together with John Terry and Gary Cahill made that Chelsea defense impenetrable.

That season ends with Chelsea being CHAMPIONS and winning the EFL Cup Azpilicueta being an essential part of it, the 2015/16 season was another one of the amazing season he provided 49 apps and consistency was and still his the key word he kept on doing amazing performances

In the 2016/17 Season he played as CB, LB and RB giving that Chelsea manager liked to play 3 at the back Azpilicueta was essential for the success that year 47 apps later he was CHAMPION OF ENGLAND again making another amazing season full of effort and hardwork.

Azpilicueta was essential to every manager he played under and it was seen why he was like by so many managers now being the captain he led Chelsea to a FA cup win in 2017/18 season and although we finished low in the table the spirits were high with a new manager coming in.

When the season starts a lot of discussion goes into the decision of the manager at the time bringing in Jorginho a defensive style midfielder that would prove at times to be average at best, regardless of that Azpi helped us win the Europa League defeating Arsenal. A

And seeing the end of one of Chelsea most brilliant players to date Eden Hazard, which would with a transfer ban make life hard for Chelsea and Azpi, the 2018/19 saw him reunite with one of his old teammates as a manager Frank Lampard where he would perform well for the season.

And Azpilicueta will still do well this season, the reason why I like Azpilicueta so much is that he reminds me of a good old defender from the 80's or 90's no bullshit, just take the ball out of space and cross it into the are, a professional guy and a very good one.

I think for Chelsea to have him has been part of their success in the last years, he is one of the best to ever grace the Premier league and although he might not be better than Ashley Cole on his own right he is EL CAPITANO and will be a Chelsea Legend.
